Honey Heat smoked chicken on your Kamado Joe!
Ingredients:
• 1 whole chicken
• Caribeque Honey Heat rub
• Olive oil
• Apple wood chunks
Instructions:
1. Prepare your Kamado Joe smoker for indirect cooking at 250°F (120°C) with apple wood chunks for smoke flavor.
2. Rinse the chicken under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels.
3. Rub olive oil all over the chicken to create a base for the seasoning.
4. Generously coat the chicken with Caribeque Honey Heat rub, ensuring it’s evenly distributed on all sides.
5. Place the chicken on the smoker grill, breast side up, and close the lid.
6. Smoke the chicken for about 2-3 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) in the thickest part of the breast and thigh.
7. Once done, remove the chicken from the smoker and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before carving.
8. Carve and serve the smoked chicken with your favorite sides. Enjoy!
